I have spent the last few days restoring my PC to pre-disaster shape but cannot find a way to delete the darn MY Backup folder and it drives me nuts. My suggestion is to use this opportunity to do some back up to an external HDD, a 1TB HDD only cost less than 99 and is a good investment. I thought I have lost all my photos together with other data on my disk after a cleaning up. Don't even remember what I did (in shock), but in trying to recover I ended up with a folder on my C: drive (once I got Windows reinstalled) called "My Backup http://thedroidblog.com/disk-cleanup/windows-7-disk-cleanup-not-deleting-files.html
