There have been quite a few non-paged pool memory hotfixes and patches released so you may want to dig through the KB. You can select them one by one, and then select "Settings" in order to configure the space allocated for Shadow Copies, without actually enabling shadow copies on the drives. Volsnap 36 x 8 Anonymous After the patch referred by QB833167 failed to solve this problem for me, MS Support suggested that the two following registry keys be set: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory_Management Key name: Whether or not the drives keep shadow copies locally, the backup software uses this and needs at the very least 10% of the drive's total space allowed.
