Thanks again for posting the fix. The answer is quite simple: Dump your entire inbox and all subfolders to a pst, so you have a backup. Spent some time looking through the Inbox for wayward meeting notices, to no avail. I tried repairing the pst files, but that hasn't worked. I can do a manual send and receive to get the latest emails, but it'll come back with the same error when I let it send/receive on its own. I didn't try the second outgoing port though...I'll give that a go and see what happens.

The horrible irony of this is that the offending messages were Outlook meeting requests!
If, while in offline mode it checks for and receives new mail from a server, does it immediately switch back to online mode?
