The CPU usage would just be normal around few %, doesn't matter how fast the download goes. Maybe this is just a vent topic....the exclusion definitely helped, but cpu usage was still jumping around a bit, whereas if I just disable the web shield, cpu usage is 0. As a temporary solution you could also check Steam's threads with a better task manager such as Process Explorer or Process Hacker and try killing the one that uses up all permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]xKrypt0 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago(0 children)For me, Steam becomes the overlord when downloading/writing is occuring. and things will go back to normal once download is complete.
