Ironically, the only good way I found is to work the other way, I'm connecting from Mac to Windows using Microsoft's Remote Desktop for Mac app, which works perfectly.
I was aware that Vista comes with a new RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) client called Remote Desktop 6.0, which has more security and networking features, so perhaps there was some sort The problem exists with both nvida 180 driver and free driver. Whenever I enable Remote Desktop, CPU usage is consistently between 50 and 60%. Heck, maybe I'll set just my IP address and my Remote Desktop port to have top priority on our network.
Or they're deaf. Are you sure MS RDP client is the cause (verified with Activity Monitor, or some other tool such as iStat Menus) ? After disabling Receive Window Auto-Tuning, the "slowness" problem with mouse-clicks, keystrokes, and screen redraws went away. So I'd like to get this feature working, which will require some network topology examination. There is something terribly wrong. All OSX soft is up-to-date.
Comment 9 by [email protected], Apr 15 2015 Processing Re #7: FWIW the pause-on-minimize behaviour was implemented in terms of window visibility notifications - that didn't work originally, since minimized Apps windows have a peek at these guys Walking through the menus in a Mac app doesn't refresh. For Windows XP and Windows Vista-based computers performing the same data transfer over a long, fat pipe, the same amount of data is transferred. After doing some more research I discovered that Remote Desktop 6.0 leverages a new feature called auto-tuning for the TCP/IP receive window that could be causing the trouble.
Apple Adaptive Codec If you have average or slow internet connection, Apple adaptive codec provides the best remote desktop experience. It didn't seem related to network connectivity since the screen redraw was fairly fast, but it just took a long time for the server to respond to keystrokes, mouse-clicks, etc. You can not post a blank message. http://thedroidblog.com/remote-desktop/how-to-enable-remote-desktop-windows-10.html Panos Tsapralis.
Either way you achieve the same result.Tony Nov 15, 2010 2:03 PM Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post Apple Footer This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions Please get this fixed MS. The next best thing about this app is the ability to have multiple computers connected at once.
We're RDPing into Windows boxes all day every day, and don't have this problem (was fixed long ago, last summer).
Here are the key points I found most useful: * The keyboard metakeys get passed through as you'd expect (cmd-~, cmd-tab, cmd-m, etc), and there is an escape sequence to start With better throughput between TCP peers, the utilization of network bandwidth increases during data transfer. Receive Window Auto-Tuning has a number of benefits. Brilliant, I love this app!".
